Robert is a Kent State University graduate in 1967 with a professional 5 year degree (Bachelor of Architectural). He started out as an Architectural intern until passing the State of Ohio Architectural exam in 1971 when he advanced to Project Architect status. He practiced in the areas of industrial and commercial design until present except for 6 years (1979-1985) where he worked as an Associate Professor in the Drafting and Design Department at a two year technical degree college in Ohio. He have had the Ohio and California state licenses and currently have the North Carolina license to practice architecture.

Bob is married to Eileen and has three boys, Jim, Phillip and Mark.
